HD-CVI uses patented video transmission technology capable of transmitting up to 1080p (1920 x 1080) resolution in uncompressed format over standard coaxial or twisted-pair cables that are used for analog CCTV cameras. This uncompressed video format can be transmitted over longer distances than any IP camera. In addition, HD-CVI can transmit video, audio and control signals (OSD or PTZ) over a single coax cable instead of having to use separate cables for each transmission.
